Pyrenean mouflon sheep

One of the world’s smallest wild sheep, we hunt these little guys in the Pyrenees, together with the Pyrenean Chamois, they are the jewels of mountain hunting in the Pyrenees.

Males shoulder height are 25-32 inches (65-80cm) and weight 70-100 pounds (30-45kg) the winter coat is at its best with dark fur with a curious beard on adult males.

They live free in the Pyrenees range, open mountains near the tree line, sometimes we can find them higher than the Pyrenean Chamois.

OUR HUNTING AREAS

Our hunting areas are located in the eastern Pyrenees. Managed during years, nowadays hunting is 100% guaranteed.

The hunting method is always stalking; there are areas without roads so we will have to walk to be able to reach the top. It’s a physical hunt.

Located at 2 hours by car from Barcelona airport and only 3.30 hours from our areas for Beceite ibex, so it will be a good option to combine hunting.

HUNTING SEASON

The best dates to hunt a huge Mouflon sheep, are during the rut mid-October to the end of November, but during the winter months with the first snowfall the animals come down from the peaks and concentrate in groups in open mountains.

Season: From 1st of October to 28th of February.

LODGE AND MEALS

The Pyrenees offers the most spectacular landscapes in Spain. From the room of the hotel, we can observe the wonderful views of the mountains that remain snowed more than 8 months a year.

The typical meats and cheeses of the Pyrenees will accompany the foods of this gastronomy.
