The Beceite Ibex, after the Gredos one, is the largest and most impressive trophy among the four subspecies. It has a very particular shape, similar to a "plane" (long, thick, and wide-open horns). It is a very cautious animal. Old males usually go alone when they age and join other males in spring and summer.
Tortosa-Beceite is a mountainous massif spanning three provinces (Tarragona, Castellón, and Teruel), featuring a very rugged terrain, deep valleys, and unique rock formations. Dryland crops, almond trees, and olive groves make up the typical landscape of this area.
The nearest airports are Valencia and Barcelona, located 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours, respectively, from the hunting area.
Depending on the area where we hunt, we will stay in a beautiful lodge (ranked among the top 5 in Spain) or in charming hotels with spectacular views.
The hunting areas are located near the city of Morella, a very touristic destination due to its impressive fortress that surrounds it, where we can also enjoy tourist routes with wine tastings.
The cuisine is exquisite, offering a variety of meats and goat cheeses typical of the area, always accompanied, of course, by a good wine.
More than 100,000 hectares of private hunting grounds in the heart of the Beceite mountain range, located between 2,500 and 6,500 feet above sea level, with various terrains perfectly suited for hunters of all physical conditions.
The best time to hunt an adult Ibex is during the rut season, when old males leave their lairs to fight other males and attract as many females as possible. This is the period when we will have the highest chances to hunt a big male.
In spring, there are also great opportunities to take down a good Beceite Ibex in the fields.
Season: From October 15 to May 31, uninterruptedly.
